Rainbows and popping flame skies
and shooting stars
and planets unblinking
A bird landing on my windowsill and
a shadow of a paw pouncing
Eyes flickering with wonder,
looking toward future dreams
and flashes of wisdom
as she, under the sunlight, beams
Fleeting, ever fleeting,
milliseconds passing;
cramming these instances
in a treasure chest within
Hoping against logic
that I can reach a place where happiness
grows and stretches and clings
Unending, undying;
a picture similar to a beginning
of days that should have been
Fragments
